The Lakewood First Baptist Church uses
pre-engineered steel frames in
combination with conventional wood-framed construction. The steel
frames allow for the large open space of the sanctuary, while the wood
framing provides a more rigid structure that can meet the needs of the
finish materials. The project realizes the benefits of the
cost-effective
clear span, while not giving the sense of being an industrial
pre-engineered
building.
